Shipping and Delivery Conditions - Studio Arca
At Studio Arca, we sell unique pieces and design classics that are often bulky, heavy, or particularly sensitive. To ensure that every piece arrives undamaged, we rely on personal consultation instead of flat-rate shipping.
1. Principle: Collection from the Showroom (Click & Collect)
The standard option for all purchases at Studio Arca is free collection from our showroom/studio at Weidengasse 49, 4052 Basel.

Procedure: After completing your order, we will prepare the piece of furniture and contact you within 24-48 hours to arrange a suitable collection date.

Storage period: We ask you to collect purchased items within 14 calendar days after order confirmation or notification of readiness.

Storage fees in case of delay: If the goods are not collected within this period, a storage fee (administrative charge) of CHF 5.00 per day and object will be charged from the 15th day. This fee is to be paid on-site at collection or after invoicing.
2. Delivery and Shipping on Request
Shipping or delivery by us is generally possible, but does not happen automatically and is calculated individually.

Inquiry: If you wish for a delivery, please contact us before or directly after the purchase. We will check the conditions (distance, floor level, difficulty of transport) and create a tailored offer for you.

Delivery by Studio Arca: In the region [e.g., Basel/Zurich/surroundings], we often deliver larger pieces of furniture personally. Costs are calculated based on effort and distance.

Courier & Postal Shipping: Smaller objects and accessories can be sent via post or courier upon request. The usual postage and packaging costs apply here.
3. Freight Shipping (National & International)
For large pieces of furniture outside our delivery region, we work with external freight partners.

Costs: Costs for freight transport vary greatly depending on volume and destination and are borne by the Buyer.

Scope of service: Unless otherwise agreed, delivery by freight is "delivery to the curb."
4. Transport Damage and Transfer of Risk

Upon collection: Responsibility for the object (benefit and risk) passes to the Buyer upon handover of the goods in the showroom. Please bring enough blankets or padding material for transport.

Upon shipping: We pack our goods with the greatest care. Should damage nevertheless occur, it must be documented and reported to us within 24 hours of receipt.
